Used For Sintering Electronic Magnetic Materials

This product is a sagger designed for sintering electronic magnetic materials. It is manufactured from inorganic materials—such as high-purity alumina and silica—via high-temperature sintering and features a protective zirconia coating applied to its interior surface. The zirconia coating effectively enhances the electromagnetic properties of the electronic components and prevents adhesion between the sagger and the components during high-temperature sintering; it is suitable for the sintering processes of electronic magnetic materials such as ferrites, varistors, and thermistors.

Product Features

  1. Zirconia spray coating for enhanced electromagnetic performance

A zirconia spray coating is applied to the interior of the sagger; the coating offers high chemical stability and does not react with magnetic materials (such as ferrites), thereby helping to improve the electromagnetic performance of the electronic components.

  1. Prevention of high-temperature adhesion and improved yield

The coating features a dense, smooth surface that effectively separates the sagger substrate from the components being sintered. This prevents adhesion at high temperatures and increases product yield.

  1. Multi-material series covering various temperature ranges

Three material series are available—HR88 (1300°C), 96 (1380°C), and 99 (1600°C)—allowing for flexible selection based on the sintering material and process temperature.

  1. Diverse coating systems adapted to different applications

The 96 series utilizes a ZrO₂ + MgO coating system, while the 99 series employs a ZrO₂ + Y₂O₃ system; both feature a coating purity of 99.8%, meeting the sintering requirements of various electronic components.

  1. Substrate protection and extended service life

The zirconia coating protects the sagger substrate from erosion by component materials, reducing damage to the sagger body and extending its service life.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  1. What is the primary function of the zirconia spray coating?

It serves three main purposes: enhancing the electromagnetic properties of electronic components, preventing high-temperature adhesion between the firing sagger and the components, and extending the service life of the sagger.

  1. How should I choose between the three models (HR88, 96, and 99)?

Selection depends on the sintering material and temperature: choose HR88 (1300°C) for rapid sintering of Ni-Zn materials; choose 96 (1380°C) for sintering Mn-Zn and Ni-Zn materials; and choose 99 (1600°C) for applications with higher requirements, such as varistors and thermistors.

  1. What is the coating thickness? Can it be customized?

The standard coating thickness is approximately 300 μm; this can be adjusted based on specific customer process requirements.

  1. Does the coating affect component performance?

No. The zirconia coating is chemically stable and does not react with the component materials; instead, it helps improve electromagnetic performance and prevents adhesion.

  1. Are custom specifications available?

Yes. We can customize sagger dimensions and shapes as well as coating solutions to meet customer needs; please contact a sales engineer for details.
